LiRo has been providing environmental services to the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC) for well over a decade through several continuing contracts. Project assignments have included investigation, design, construction management and inspection ranging from routine assignments to some of the most complex assignments required by the City.
LiRo's petroleum storage tank design and construction specialists have been responsible for services related to the investigation, design and construction as well as remediation of over 700 underground storage tank facilities. Tank systems include gasoline and diesel motor fuel, heating oil, waste oil, motor oil, and hydraulic oil USTs and ASTs for almost every city agency including firehouses, police precincts, hospitals, parks, DSNY garages, DEP and DOT sites.
LiRo has managed over 100 sites throughout the City which required remedial investigation, design, construction, and system operation and monitoring. These sites involved floating product, groundwater and soil contamination.
LiRo has also completed over 250 assignments conducting Phase I ESAs, Phase II Site Investigations, Roadway Corridor Assessments, Spill Response/UST Closure Investigations, Remedial Action Plans, Asbestos/Lead/Mold Surveys and other environmental services. For all of these DDC programs, LiRo was responsible for many simultaneous assignments under aggressive project schedules.
