About the Project

LiRo provided full mechanical, electrical, medical gas, fire alarm, sprinkler, and plumbing design services for a new 10,000 sf Arrhythmia Suite at St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn, New York. The project was a complete renovation of existing patient rooms to create the new suite.

Project Challenges & Solutions

The major challenge encountered in this project was the need to keep the hospital operational throughout the duration of construction. LiRo identified and preemptively solved this problem by working with St. Francis to split the design documents into two distinct construction phases. The phased approach reduced impact on day-to-day hospital operation and established early sequencing expectations.

Outcome

LiRo designed a new, state-of-the-art facility that incorporates the latest technology to meet the needs of St. Francis Hospital.
