About the Project
This project provided construction administration and inspection for a new pocket park at Fayette Street and Route 440 Connector in Perth Amboy, NJ. Middlesex County converted a vacant lot into a recreation facility for local residents. The work included civil and structural improvements, stamped concrete, sidewalks, ADA ramps, landscaping, a gazebo, decorative archway, and light posts, with coordination among utility providers and city/county officials.
Project Challenges & Solutions
Throughout the project, the limited space and specific site location made it difficult to manage traffic and provide access for construction. However, by planning ahead and keeping good communication with all stakeholders, any major issues during construction were avoided.
Outcome
The construction was completed and opened to public in August 2025. The residents benefit from the facilities year-round.
