Overview

Winchester Hospital selected DiGiorgio Associates Incorporated (DAI), a LiRo Group Company, as their Architect and Engineer for the design of a new Ambulatory Surgery Center. DAI’s services included programming and conceptual design through construction overview. The new 31,000 sf state-of-the-art facility is patient focused, incorporating both Lean and Sustainable Design elements, and is designed to meet the increased demand for Outpatient Surgical Facilities.

About the Project

The new building is located about a mile from the hospital’s main campus and houses four class “C” operating rooms, a radiographic room, preadmission testing, building support services, a lobby, and a coffee shop. Surgery areas include Orthopedics, Ear/ Nose/ Throat, Gynecology, Podiatry, and Urology. This facility obtained LEED Gold certification and is designed to accommodate four additional floors of inpatient, clinic, and medical office space.
