Overview

Worcester’s Polar Park is the home of the WooSox, the franchise that played its final season as the Pawtucket Red Sox in 2020 before relocating to Worcester in 2021. Polar Park was built as part of a larger redevelopment of the surrounding Kelley Square and Canal District. The new development includes an office building behind the ballpark’s left field wall, hotels and residential buildings, and a mixed-use building that features retail, office, and lab space. Polar Park is the anchor of an 18-acre, $240-million redevelopment initiative.
