About the Project

LiRo is currently working with the City of Revere on a new Department of Public Works (DPW) facility. The anticipation of this project is to construct a new pre-engineered 40,000 sf DPW facility on the existing DPW site in Revere, MA. The scope also includes demolition of the existing 28,000 sf facility and accessory buildings. The new DPW Facility will replace the existing facilities and will allow the City to consolidate the vehicles from the various Divisions/ Departments into one building. This facility will also include Administration, Water and Sewer, Parks and Trees, Highway, Signs and Carpentry, Maintenance Garage and Janitorial. The facility will need to accommodate approximately 50 vehicles and 30-35 staff personnel.

The new structure will include vehicle storage, vehicle repair garage, general storage area, office(s), tool room, fluid storage area, mezzanine storage, vehicle repair bays, truck wash bay, locker rooms, break/ready room, restrooms, and associated support spaces (mechanical room, etc.). In addition, the site will include a fueling station, material storage bins and new pre-engineered salt storage structure. The new building will connect to existing City’s water, sewer, and electric utilities.

Outcome

The goal of this project is to create an efficient and economical solution to address the space needs for the DPW Facility while developing a durable, low maintenance and attractive building.
