Fairfield Properties Ballpark is a baseball park in Central Islip, New York that serves as the home of the Long Island Ducks, an independent minor league baseball team that is a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.

About the Project

LiRo supported Suffolk County in its development of a minor league baseball facility by providing construction management services for the project. The project included a 6,002-seat capacity facility; 20 sky boxes; grass playing field; lighting for night games and television broadcast; video scoreboard and audio systems; multiple concession areas; media center and broadcast booth; dugouts; locker rooms, administrative offices; and ADA compliant toilet facilities.

Project Challenges & Solutions

LiRo joined the project team during the conceptual design stage. This was an extremely high-profile, fast-track project with a tight, critical schedule. It was LiRo’s responsibility to monitor the design schedule and develop the construction packages to complete the project by opening day, which it successfully achieved.
