Amtrak and the U.S. Department of Transportation have announced new progress on the long-awaited transformation of New York Penn Station, including advancing early project work, strengthening coordination with NJ TRANSIT, and moving closer to selecting a master developer. The project aims to deliver a safer, more efficient, and modern station that can handle growing passenger demand while creating a more welcoming, world-class experience. With planning and environmental work already underway, construction is expected to begin by the end of 2027.
