The LiRo Group, a multi-discipline design and construction management firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Michael Bailey, PE to Executive Vice President. Mike Bailey, PE, has more than 30 years of experience managing infrastructure projects and is presently the Business Unit Leader of LiRo’s Resident Engineering Inspection division. He is responsible for all of the firm’s roadway, bridge, rail and utility projects, and has managed projects valued as much as $3 billion. He has also developed one of the region’s most successful “on-call” construction management groups. Mike’s clients include the NYCDOT, various MTA agencies, NYSDOT, NYS Thruway Authority, NYCDDC, NYCEDC, as well as numerous local and county agencies.

Among his most prominent works are the current Coastal Resiliency Program at critical sites in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens; Design-Build Replacement of the new Kosciuszko Bridge and the new Tappan Zee Bridge; Hunter’s Point South Infrastructure and Waterfront Park Redevelopment; and the No. 7 Subway Line Extension. He has always stressed client relations as a primary job responsibility. He maintains constant client contact to ensure that the specific requirements of a contract are being fulfilled. A testament to his management capabilities is the high volume of repeat contracts he has generated in the past 30 years.

Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University and a Professional Engineer’s license.
