The Intelligent Transportation Society of New York has announced the winners of the 2020 ITS-NY Project of the Year Award. The LiRo Group is the recipient of the 2020 ITS-NY Project of the Year Award in Category: Safety and Infrastructure Protection for the QMT & HCT Over Height Vehicle Detection System. The scope of this project entailed replacing and expanding the existing overheight detection and warning system, which was impacted by the recent Open Road Tolling initiatives by the TBTA. Specific aspects of the project entail infrastructure improvements (conduit runs, fiber and wire installation, and new devices: lasers, cameras, strobes, and buzzers), and a software upgrade to the existing Dynac system.
