Lake Sebago Beach to Reopen After Major Renovation

January 6, 2026

Lake Sebago Beach at Harriman State Park, which has been closed since 2011 due to damage from Tropical Storm Irene, is finally set to undergo a $95.8 million rebuild. The project is scheduled to begin in spring 2026 and is expected to be completed by summer 2027. The project includes a rebuilt beach area with new sand, repairs to the existing bathhouse, new restrooms, new playgrounds, picnic and game areas, a lakeside promenade, parking, a wastewater treatment facility, and environmental upgrades to handle future storms better. LiRo-Hill is proud to be serving as the Construction Manager on the project. Read more here.
