At LiRo, Bernie is responsible for the delivery and growth of the design capabilities of the firm. This includes civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, telecommunications, architecture and sustainable design, GIS/survey as well as BIM/virtual design and construction services for public and private clients alike. The spotlight is on client delivery in the Northeast Corridor with responsibility for strategy, execution and delivery for all design markets and services.

Previously as President-Northeast Region WSP USA, Bernie was responsible for the continued growth of one of the leading engineering firms in the state of New York. He played an integral role in high-profile projects in New York City including the LaGuardia Central Terminal Building PPP, Gateway Trans Hudson Tunnels, the Raising of the Roadway on the Bayonne Bridge, the Widening of the NJ Turnpike 6-9 Interchanges, and the Restoration of the WTC transportation System. Bernie has a Master’s Degree in Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and holds a professional engineering license in multiple states.
