The LiRo Group, a multi-discipline design and construction management firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Lawrence Blond, PE to Executive Vice President. Larry Blond, PE, has been directly responsible for nearly $3 billion of construction projects, many of which have involved high-profile municipal projects with mandated completion dates. He is overseeing the Program and Construction Management Division – LiRo’s largest business unit. During his tenure, this business unit has steadily and impressively grown over the past decade, with a high rate of repeat business from public sector clients. Ranked 11th among the nation’s Top 100 Construction Managers, LiRo has built a reputation as a successful construction management and program management provider for: higher education; healthcare; parks; housing; judicial/ correctional; schools; maintenance/ parking garages; fire/ police stations; treatment plants; and cultural institutions. Larry’s senior management oversight has been a key to this success, and he continues to lead the way with his direct involvement with our clients, and his staff, on all construction management projects.

Larry’s reach extends to numerous FDNY structures for the NYCDDC, the Nassau County Government Operations Center, multiple NYC Emergency Medical Stations, various hospitals throughout the state, including the SUNY-Stony Brook MART Building and Hospital Pavilion, and several sports facilities, including Yankee Stadium.

Larry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with honors, from Rutgers University and a Professional Engineer’s license.
