John P. Lekstutis, P.E.
Vice Chairman and President

John Lekstutis directs and manages all of LiRo Engineer's operations, overseeing the planning and implementation of all major projects. His responsibilities include addressing issues such as: work scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and technical approach. With more than 40 years of experience in the consulting engineering and construction management fields, Mr. Lekstutis has particular expertise in directing environmental and infrastructure-related programs.

Mr. Lekstutis project experience includes: Construction Management and Engineering Support for the World Trade Center Site Cleanup/Restoration; Engineering Design, in Support of the No. 1/9 Subway Tunnel and Station, damaged due to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks; Construction Management for Street and Underground Utility Rehabilitation/ Reconstruction in and around the World Trade Center; Engineering Design and Construction Management for the Long Island Expressway, through central Queens.

Before joining LiRo, Mr. Lekstutis served as President of an engineering firm that specializes in transportation and building projects on Long Island and in Connecticut, and also served as Director of Environmental Projects for one of the nation's premier designers and constructors of electrical power plants.
